Hello Jane Lee! The Faithweaver Worship DVD is new each quarter. Each DVD has music videos with the worship lyrics displayed. They are super easy to use and the kids at my church love them. Many of the songs are scripture put to music. My kids (at home and church) have memorized so much scripture this way.

Our Sunday School is needing to fill in a missing grade level which we are using this quarter due to unusual scheduling. Needed:
Fall 2012 FaithWeaver 3/4 grade teacher kit and student booklet.
We downloaded the teacher guide but realize that the kit is needed with the support materials. Can we still purchase the kit and student book?
This April we will be using the Winter 2012-2013 FaithWeaver and will also need the 3/4 teaching kit and student booklet. Is this available too?
At this point our new leadership is still in transition. We like Faith Weaver and have been using it for two years and trying to stay in the same Biblical order but that put us out of order with the quarters. We are figuring out how to change by this summer quarter. Thank you for your help. Nicole Davis

Hi Tommy. My church has used Group's Grapple curriculum with our 6th-8th graders. http://group.com/sunday-school/grapple

The kids "grapple" with a question or topic that they are dealing with in real life. We found that our middle school kids really connected with the questions. The curriculum is very interactive and our leaders really appreciated the discussions that were sparked. There is also an online component (specific to your church) where your kids and leaders can share prayer requests, play games, vote on what game to play the following week, etc. The DVD that comes with the curriculum typically has some countdown clips you can play to countdown to the start of class as well as some video clips to use in some of the lessons.

Just curious, will the Faithweaver Now Curriculum replace the current Faithweaver Sunday School Curriculum or will you still have both formats?

It will replace it. Faithweaver will still teach the same lesson to all age levels with a teacher box, but there will be many new updated features such as downloadable, customizable teacher guides and more up to date lessons.

Thanks for your question. FaithWeaver Now will replace the current FaithWeaver starting fall quarter but keep in mind the format is not changing. It is in fact a continuation and update of the current FaithWeaver. You may still order FaithWeaver the way you always have, it will just have the option of a digital customizable copy of the teacher’s guide if you need one. Also some fresh content that will appeal to today’s family. It will also be easier to prepare lessons (5 to 10 minutes of prep) and reduced lesson supplies. Everything great about FaithWeaver is staying. We are just making it better for today’s family and volunteers.

Can you use Faith Weaver just for middle school or high school groups?

Sure. FaithWeaver is a great and flexible curriculum. My adult classes don't use it but I use it for my children's classes. The tools such as FamilyConnect are still great to help families have faith conversations at home. My teachers love the curriculum. The training Group offers on it helped them understand how and why they were supposed to use it as written. Go for it! You'll love it!

Hi George! We use Faithweaver Friends at my church for that age group. It works great because you can break the kids into two small groups based on ages (3-4 year olds, and 5-6 year olds) but you don't need different curriculum. Your teachers can just go more in depth for the older kids. The kids get to do new things about every 10 minutes, so they never get bored. Our kids love it!

The only concern with FW Friends is that it is written for midweek and there is not written for the summer quarter. It does work well with that age group. Kids Own Worship is actually written for children's church and has more of a worship twist to it. It has activities for both preschool age and elementary age in the same lesson. For 3-6 I would go with the preschool. Living Inside Out would also work for ages 3-6. Hope that helps George.

Hello George. When I have used Faithweaver with mixed ages I almost always chose the 'younger' kit. In your case, with 3-6 year olds I would most likely have used the Preschool Faithweaver kit. (found here http://store.grouppublishing.com/OA_HTML/ibeCCtpItmDspRte.jsp?item=3180296§ion=25291) I would recommend that you also download the sample pack (http://group.com/sunday-school/faithweaver?qid=300853d7-d911-4313-a6a6-b3198ec044f0&memberid=48833&nodeid=53529&openid=answer) and have your volunteers read over the preschool and also prek/k lessons. They might read the lessons and know right away which one seems like the best fit. Keep in mind that if you go with the preschool kit and it seems to 'young' for your kids you can always change to the prek/k level the following quarter!

One more thought, George. If you did end up changing levels it would be a seamless change because every level (infant through adult) teaches the same story in an age appropriate way each week!

I would suggest grapple for middle school. With a range in ages I think you will be happy with the questions and activities provided. It really gets the teens in the word and makes them "grapple" about what the word is really telling us about everyday situations.

Faithweaver is getting a facelift and the version is Faithweaver now. It will still have the same scripture base for toddlers - adults, but there will be some great new activities and the best part is it will be a downloadable - customizable format. It was just time for a facelift and that will begin with the fall 2013 quarter. Hope that helps.

Do you offer lessons on heaven? That is the current topic we are planning for and would like a curriculum like yours that would allow the family to connect during the week.

There is a Sunday school curriculum for children and preteen based on the book "Heaven is for Real" There is also a lesson in the "LIVE" curriculum on how to get to Heaven. Throughout all our curriculum there are points on only through Christ do we get to heaven, but the "Heaven is for Real" is the only one that talks about what heaven might be like.
