International Moldova

Construction Adventure

The Adventure

Although Moldova is the poorest country in Europe, it has incredible countryside, rocky hills, forests, intricate Soviet architecture, vineyard, and intriguing historical sites make it a favorable place to visit. And while the European-style food is just unique enough to offer culinary adventure, it’s also familiar enough to the pickier of eaters. Weaving, crafts, pottery, and traditional Moldovan wear give travelers a taste of the rich culture and history. Travel to Moldova and you’ll have an opportunity to experience both the city life and the rich countryside.

In partnership with Operation Mobilization and Group’s Lifetree Adventures, you may choose among construction or outreach adventures. Whichever trip you choose to Moldova, your experience will be filled with rich culture, hearty foods, beautiful countryside, and local believers whom you’ll be able to work with hand in hand.

On the construction adventure, you’ll partner with a cross-cultural team and the local village churches to help with the needs of the villages. You may find yourself painting, building a playground, constructing a garden, digging a toilet, or cutting weeds. Along with that, you’ll have an opportunity to put on a kids’ program and share time with local believers. As you travel throughout the agricultural countryside to these villages, you’ll be able to learn about the Moldovan lifestyle and spread the gospel using your hands and your heart.

The Service

Help the poorest country in Europe improve and grow! Work side by side with a cross-cultural team partnering with local village churches doing all sorts of practical work, including:

  • Serving alongside a local church
  • Construction (skilled or unskilled)
  • Serving the village in a variety of ways

Your service type can range from working with kids to constructing a garden to painting houses. Whatever the specific village that you're serving needs the most is what you'll work on! When you're not working, relax and enjoy the beautiful Moldovan countryside.
