Local Church, Children’s Ministry, Food Distribution
Set on the Mediterranean Sea, Greece touts plenty of islands and coastline, as well as rugged mountains. Greece’s Meteora is a geographic beauty with its naturally occurring stone monoliths rising out of a deep valley. In partnership with Operation Mobilization and Group’s Lifetree Adventures®, you’ll visit one of the five historic Orthodox monasteries that sit on top of a monolith! And you’ll serve in the warm and temperate coastal port city of Volos and the inland region of Karditsa.
While religion is important to many Greeks, some still haven’t grasped the concept of an opportunity to interact with a loving, involved God. On this mission adventure, you’ll take part in the church’s outreach events, be part of a city-beautification project, and you’ll visit a Gypsy village to share Jesus’ love with the children through arts, crafts, games, and other educational activities.
Along with the spiritual and social challenges of Greece, the country hosts several refugee camps where people are desperate for even basic living needs. You will build food packs and bring them to the residents to show them they’re not forgotten in a time and place where many are losing hope. On this mission trip adventure, you’ll have an opportunity to serve people’s physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.
Share love and friendship with children, families, and refugees as you assist a local church! Through service activities like these, you'll leave the city cleaner and more encouraged than you found it:
- Serving alongside a local church
- Children’s Ministry
- Food Distribution
While you're serving, you'll have a chance to experience a monastery and giant, naturally occuring monoliths. Make a difference in the lives of others, and come home changed yourself!
