Local Church, Construction
On a trip to Zaventem, Belgium, you’re within reach of the breathtaking capital buildings of Brussels, the medieval bell tower of Bruges, and a 10th-century moated castle in Ghent. You’ll have an opportunity to travel to the war memorials in Waterloo, Bastogne, or Ypres, or ride the Dyle canal. You’ll be in arms-reach of monuments, historical sites, and cultural experiences.
Europe today is notoriously known as lacking a strong Christian presence. Since the 1960s, Operation Mobilization has been working from their base in Zaventem to share the gospel with Europeans. They bought an old paper factory and transformed it into a mobilization and coordination hub for short- and long-term missionaries. Now developed into a hospitality and conference center, the old paper factory is used to promote evangelism and church planting.
When you travel to Belgium with Group’s Lifetree Adventures you’ll have an opportunity to pitch in with Operation Mobilization on a construction project. You’ll help renovate and expand the facility, so it meets modern building codes and has space to house two Christian ministries focusing on prayer and outreach. All ages are welcome to join, recognizing that it is a construction project, utilizing both practical skills and willing hands.
Help renovate an old paper factory being used as a Christian conference center and ministry base! It currently hosts two church congregations—and, after the expansion, will have space for two new ministries! Regardless of your construction skill level, you'll bless Belgium by investing time in:
- Serving alongside a local church
- Construction (skilled or unskilled)
- Transforming a ministry base
Whether you're painting, cleaning, or doing construction work, you'll be helping expand a ministry—all just a train ride away from historic cities and sightseeing opportunities!
