In 2002, Max Lucado and Michael W. Smith came together for a worship tour sponsored by Chevrolet. Click on the link given to go to the home Web site for the tour, where you will find a photo essay that captures many special moments from the three days of worship services. You will see Max Lucado speaking and praying. You will also see Michael W. Smith and Third Day presenting music that glorifies God. How do you think music, speaking, and prayer blend in the worship experience? Is one more important than the other? Why or why not?

Go to BibleGateway.com and put in the scripture for this lesson (Exodus 32:1-25). Ask a family member to read the passage aloud or take turns reading a few verses at a time. Then discuss the following questions:

In this passage of Scripture, we find that the Israelites were involved in worship using music, speaking, and prayer; yet, God says they committed sin. Why did the Israelites sin?

Why is it important to worship only God?

God alone is worthy of worship. Think of ways that you can worship God as a family.
