Q. What is Rooted?
A. Rooted™ is an easy to prepare and lead, one-year downloadable curriculum for children (1st – 6th grades) and youth/adults that uses key stories of the Bible to help people enter into a relationship with Christ and then live in Christ.  The year focuses on discovering God’s love for each one of us and understanding that He sent Jesus to make it possible for us to be in relationship with Him.

Q. For what types of classes is Rooted™ designed?
A. Rooted™ is ideal for use as basic discipleship, new believers, outreach follow-up, missions, home churches, and church plants.  There is a children’s version (1st-6th grade), youth and adult version. Check out the topics in the scope and sequence (requires Adobe Acrobat Reader).

Q. Is Rooted quarterly?
A. Yes, Rooted™ is a quarterly, undated curriculum with a one-year scope and sequence. Unlike dated curriculum, all quarters of Rooted™ will be available after they are first released. In December 2007, only Quarter One will be available. Additional quarters will be released every three months until four quarters are available for purchase. Previous quarters will always remain available for download. You can start Rooted from Quarter One even though other quarters might also be available. Each quarter will be labeled as Quarter One, Quarter Two, etc. We recommend that you start with Quarter One.

Q. What do I get when I purchase Rooted?
A. With each Rooted™ quarterly download you will get one electronic file with 13 customizable lessons.

Q. What does customizable mean?
A. The electronic file you receive will be in a format that is customizable.  This means you have the flexibility to edit text to fit nuances of your church, denomination, or to better meet your students where they’re at in their spiritual growth.

Q. Will a church need a computer in the classroom?
A. No. All classroom time is conducted through the use of the Rooted™ lessons.  Each leader will need one copy of the downloaded lessons.

Q. What version of the Bible does Rooted™ use?
A. Where verses are quoted in the lesson it is NLT for the teacher. Since the learners will not receive a copy of the lesson, the teacher can choose to read their desired version.

Q. What size group does Rooted™ accommodate?
A. Any size—break into as many groups as needed. Each Rooted™ lesson is completely reproducible, so it’s simple to photocopy as many lessons as needed for additional facilitators.

Q. How long are the lessons?
A. They are written for 30-45 minutes.

Q. How many volunteers do I need?
A. Rooted™ was designed to be facilitated by a single leader.  It is recommended to have additional volunteers depending on the number of learners.

Q. Is Rooted™ easy for the leader?
A. Yes, very easy. Rooted™ needs little preparation time and minimal props. This is the key to being able to use Rooted in any setting from the classroom to the mission field. 

Q. How much prep time does Rooted™ take?
A. Fifteen minutes to a half hour provides plenty of time for the leader to read through a lesson and gather the minimal supplies. Any activities outside of the Rooted™ lesson (such as worship, prayer, or customized activities) may take additional prep based on the leader’s goals.

Q. What kind of supplies are needed?
A. The Rooted™ lesson for the facilitator and any additional supplies noted in the lesson itself. All classroom supplies will be easy to find.
