HostetlerJay Hostetler & Todd Hostetler

Jay and Todd Hostetler, a father/son duo, bring extensive expertise and years of experience in children’s ministry to guide the Shelter’s Ministry Consultations.

RayJonesRay Jones

Ray has an MA degree in counseling and is also a National Certified Counselor (NCC). His private counseling practice works with a variety of clients and specializes in faith-based solutions to life issues. Ray also manages a group at Children’s Hospital in Colorado devoted to work on their electronic medical records, with experiences in this arena providing additional perspective for his counseling practice.

PattyGibbonsPatti Gibbons

With upward of 25 years of service to students, families, and children’s and youth pastors built upon degrees in sociology and communications, Patti has walked alongside people in a vast array of joys and celebrations, trials and crises. Patti is a national speaker for students and youth workers at camps, conferences, and retreats. She serves today as the connections and communication director for Christ’s Church Albany and is a facilitator for the Point Break anti-bullying/anti-suicide seminar.

ChrisShaffner

Chris Schaffner

Chris is a certified addictions counselor working with chemically dependent “emerging adults” and is the founder of Conversations on the Fringe, an organization seeking creative and innovative ways to bridge the gap between the mental health community and those entities (particularly schools and churches) that serve youth in contemporary society. He has spent more than 15 years serving youth in various ways. Chris is the director of Simply Soul Care for Group and writes and blogs for them as well.

Ministry Consultation Details:

Each hour-long session will provide you with the captive attention of a children’s ministry veteran who’ll prayerfully help you overcome the challenges (that occur for everyone) in kidmin. Don’t miss this opportunity for some personal troubleshooting for YOUR ministry challenges!

When you sign up for your appointment, The Shelter staff will help you decide which option best suits your needs. The Shelter is on the Second Floor of the Hyatt Conference Center (look for the blue umbrella) and sign-ups are on a first-come, first-served basis.

Hours of Operation:

The Shelter is open on Friday from noon-10:00pm (closed during general session), on Saturday and Sunday from 8:30am-10:00pm (closed during general sessions), and on Monday from 8am-11am.
