Community Involvement

At Group, hammering nails, painting porches and meeting practical needs have just as much to do with serving churches as creating books, magazines and curriculum. Each year, more than 20,000 youth and their leaders venture across the U.S. and beyond to grow in their faith by serving others. Whether it’s building wheelchair ramps, insulating drafty trailer homes, working at a homeless shelter, or running a VBS, participants shine the love of Jesus in every dark corner they can find.

Camp Services is a growing, vibrant division of Group that organizes life-changing service missions adventures on behalf of the Group Workcamps Foundation. Plus, each summer Group staff have the opportunity to spend a week volunteering at a Workcamp, Week of Hope, or Service Expedition. Those who go will tell you it’s one of the most life-transforming experiences they’ve ever had.

Every year, Group tithes 10% of its profits to domestic and international ministries. We sponsor an annual Community Service Awards Banquet to award and recognize local charities. And through Group’s Give-Back program we send free ministry resources to thousands of churches.
